One of those days that we decided to eat out, we went to eat at the KLCC Food Court, at level two if I am not mistaken. Went there, both me and Pumpkin sat down while her Daddy went to get the food. We knew what we wanted to get. Salmon for me and Pumpkin while her Daddy went to get something else for him at another different vendor.
While waiting for her Daddy to come with food, I, of course, had to divert Pumpkin’s attention so that she won’t be wailing for her Daddy or wanting to run here or there. I did something that she (sometimes) tolerated. I took her photos and some of the food court area.
We sat by the drink vendor, and while waiting, this one very regal (and gorgeous) looking lady came to pay for some drinks that she ordered. She looked at Pumpkin and smiles. Later on we met her again while walking back towards the parking area, and again she said hi to Pumpkin. She was so gorgeous, I was tempted to take her photo heh….
But anyway, these are what we had for dinner that day.

I am sure everyone must have eaten instant noodles once (or twice) in their life. I have eaten it countless of times, I will admit freely. And I will admit, too, that I have no problems whatsoever eating instant noodles, MSG or not. MSG, after all, is a flavor enhancer, and if consumed within usual level, would not do you any harm. FDA says so, not me.
So anyway, I remembered when I was younger my mom would not let us (me and the sister) to eat more than probably once a week. Being at home on my own (since my younger sister is smarter and went to boarding school), I get to eat more than what my mom deemed as permissible. Not that she would buy me any. I bought some on my own at our neighborhood mom and pop’s store heh heh. And cooked it, ate it, cleaned it all up before my mom came home. Genius, right? *guffaws*

But anyway, I cooked these couple of dishes if I am just cooking for me. The instant noodles would be on the left. I would generously add more vegetables, and would eat only half of the noodles. And on the right would be thin rice noodles, cooked simply in some ground chilli paste and vegetables and chickens/seafood/beef. I love adding chicken liver to this. Weird, you think, but it tasted lovely.
No recipes would be put up since these two are dead simple. I actually am craving for my aunt’s fried rice noodles, but I would have to wait awhile for it. Ah well, I could probably wing it and hopes for the best.*smiles*
I made this with Pumpkin in mind because she loves eating chicken nuggets. I saw this while watching a Japanese cooking show some times ago, but I did not have paper and pen handy to get the ingredients. So I searched online.
And I really thought that it would be easy to find a usable recipe, but I was quite wrong. I found some recipes, but I still had to do some modifications using ingredients available at hand.
Anyway, after I fried and drained these, Pumpkin was not interested in it. Until I bribed her with some mayonnaise and chili dipping sauce, that is

Dearest Mama,
Happy Birthday. We love you more than you imagine.

We decided to go eat out for dinner on the husband’s birthday. So, off we go to Jack’s Place over at OU, the first time eating at that establishment for both of us. We had no expectations whatsoever other than hoping that things would go smoothly and Pumpkin wouldn’t be too loud or raucous. We could only hope.
Upon our arrival, we were promptly seated, and given our menus. Even Pumpkin was given a menu (for ogling the colorful food, that is), and I probably took too much times reviewing the menu since Pumpkin decided to wake me up from my reverie.
Yes. She knocked down the small vase, and yes, it contained water for they have fresh flowers! *Laughs*. Thankfully there were not that many customers around since it was past dinner hours, so the waitstaff were very attentive and helpful towards our predicament.
One materialized in a snap, and wipe down the water, and one promptly took my order.
The food arrived within 20 minutes after ordering, and it was not bad, really. It was not as expensive as TGiF or Chillis, but the portion is smaller, of course.
The husband ordered sirloin steak, and I ordered one of the set dinner menu, with starter, soup, entree and coffee. We ordered salmon for Pumpkin, and hey, they were good. Way better than what we had in TG, and cheaper. Very good, that.
So anyway, here are some of the dishes that we ate that night. Forget to mention that the husband ordered escargot. Yes. It was not as good at the ones that we always enjoy in Paris, but hey, it was pretty decent, really.

All of us enjoyed our dinner that night, and the bill didn’t break the bank. I don’t exactly remember how much things costs, but probably I would be able to find out somewhere and put it here.
